The Surface Duo is a smartphone introduced by Microsoft in 2019. Instead of bending or folding the screen, the two separated screens are hinged together, but it did not draw much attention, saying that it is not a technology that many manufacturers were challenging at the time. 

Instead, it appealed to the advantage that it can be used in various forms by utilizing the characteristics of hinges that can both be in-folded and out-folded. Depending on the folding angle, it can change into various shapes such as smartphones, tablets, and netbooks.

Perhaps this is why there is only one camera in the first generation of Surface Duo. A module similar to the front camera of any smartphone is installed right next to the sign language department. If you need a rear camera, you can fold the screen back, so you may not have felt the need to install an additional camera.

However, there are likely to be more cameras in subsequent models. YouTuber "Tech Rat" released a leaked photo of Surface Duo 2, which shows that a triple camera was placed on the back of the previous film. LED flash and micro-assumed components are also placed next to the camera bump. 

Windows Central, a foreign media outlet that reported the news, said the triple camera of Surface Duo 2 consisted of ultra-wide angles, standard and telescopic lenses.

However, like other manufacturers, Microsoft was unable to avoid thickening because it had three cameras. If you look at the leaked image, the camera bump is big and protruding. In this case, if the screen is folded back completely like the previous one, the bump may hit and cause scratches, or if severe, the device may be damaged. It is not yet known how Microsoft will supplement it.

Meanwhile, it is heard that Surface Duo 2 will have significantly improved hardware specifications compared to its predecessor. According to Windows Central, Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processors will be installed. It also supports 5G telecommunication and NFC for wireless payments that were not in previous works. According to the explanation, "We will provide major specifications for 2021." It is expected to release two colors, black and white. 

Surface Duo 2 is expected to be released between September and October this year. The price is not yet known. Although major specifications such as wireless charging, NFC, and 5G were excluded while using old chipsets and inexpensive materials, it was released at $1,400 and was evaluated to be more expensive than the specifications.
